Welcome to Year 2

Welcome back! We hope you all had an enjoyable and magical Christmas. The Spring term is very busy and the children will be learning all about, 'Where would I prefer to live: Leominster or Africa?'. This topic focuses on comparing Leominster to a contrasting area in Africa. It concludes with an amazing Africa day where the children will experience first hand African drumming and dancing!

Towards the end of the Spring term, Key Stage 1 chilren will be presenting 'There's a Sunflower in my Supper'. This is a wonderful performance where the children will be singing, dancing and acting. They will soon be learning all the songs and hopefully, singing them at home too!

Please help us to keep your children fit and healthy by ensuring they have their P.E. kit in school. It should be in school for the whole week or if you prefer, for the whole of the half term! We are going to try and exercise every day through the 'daily mile' and go noodle' so please ensure your child has suitable shoes in school.

Your child should bring their book bag and book to school daily. They are expected to change their books independently and should be reading at home every day.

Keep checking our page for important dates, information and photographs.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
