Welcome to Year 1

Welcome back! We hope you all had an enjoyable and magical Christmas. The Spring term is very busy and the children will be learning all about, 'Would I like to be a weather presenter?'. This topic focuses on the four seasons, daily weather and using symbols to correctly describe and show the weather. The children will also become a proud member of the 'Cloudspotter club'.

Towards the end of the Spring term, Key Stage 1 chilren will be presenting 'There's a Sunflower in my Supper'. This is a wonderful performance where the children will be singing, dancing and acting. They will soon be learning all the songs and hopefully, singing them at home too!

Please help us to keep your children fit and healthy by ensuring they have their P.E. kit in school. It should be in school for the whole week or if you prefer, for the whole of the half term! We are going to try and exercise every day through the 'daily mile' and go noodle' so please ensure your child has suitable shoes in school.

Your child should bring their book bag and book to school daily. They are encouraged to change their books independently and should be reading at home every day

Keep checking our page for important dates, information and photographs.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
