Welcome to Year 1

Our topic this term is 'Who could I call in an emergency?' focusing on the significant event of the Great Fire of London. The children will explore the Great Fire and look at the changes which have been made to the fire service today. They will also look at other emergency services, including what to do at sea through the stories of the Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch.

Please help us to keep your children fit and healthy by ensuring they have their P.E. kit in school. It should be in school for the whole week or if you prefer, for the whole of the half term! We are going to try and exercise every day through the 'daily mile' and go noodle' so please ensure your child has suitable shoes in school.

Your child should bring their book bag and book to school daily. They are encouraged to change their books independently and should be reading at home every day.

Keep checking our page for important dates, information and photographs.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
