Welcome to Year 1

Welcome to a new school year. We hope you all had an enjoyable summer. Our topic this term is 'What was it like 150 year ago?' focusing on what it was like to be a child in the Victorian times. The children will learn about the different toys, games and songs the children from the past played and learnt. They will also experience the Victorian time first hand through a Victorian day.

Please help us to keep your children fit and healthy by ensuring they have their P.E. kit in school. It should be in school for the whole week or if you prefer, for the whole of the half term! We are going to try and exercise every day through the 'daily mile' and go noodle' so please ensure your child has suitable shoes in school.

Your child should bring their book bag and book to school daily. They are encouraged to change their books independently and should be reading at home every day.

Keep checking our page for important dates, information and photographs.

As always, thank you for your continued support.
